Achtergrond van het onderzoek
Thoracic point-of-care ultrasonography is able to detect pathology and monitor or guide therapy. The clinical utility is determined by its actual effect on patient management and patient oucomes. In this prospective observational study we include all bedside point-of-care ultrasonography examinations that were performed with a clinical indication. Changes in management and diagnosis will be recorded. Patient characteristics, fluid balance, and feasibility (whether or not changes in managemnet were carried out) within 8 hours were recorded
